At the age of just 5 months Chertan attended his first show - 28 September - SWCCC at Taunton and he had a really good day achieving his first MERIT along with BOB in the Tonkinese kitten class. He was very well behaved and took it all in his stride so will definitely be attending more shows in the future. Mr. Scruton wrote the following as his overall impression & general remark "Lovely boy; An excellent example of the breed" Chertan is going to take over stud duties from his father next year
Chertan is maturing into a really lovely big boy, at 7 months old he weighs over 5kg. Not showing any signs yet of being interested in the girls but he is an extremely loving and playful boy. He still shares a run with Capri.
24 May 2014 Chertan attended the TCC & TBC Shows held at New Haw in Surrey. He travelled up without too many complaints and settled into his double pen like an 'old hand', not nervous in the least and definitely in a playful and affectionate mood. His pen was completely messed up with his rolling about and playing within minutes. The judges all loved his happy personality and he ha an extremely successful day with all 1st places, Best of Breed in both shows and his crowning glory was to be named as "Best Adult" in the TCC Show. He certainly has a 'winning' personality. He also picked up two 'Merits' with excellent reports from the judges.
August 2014 Chertan has now added two more merits to his collection. At shows he is very laid back enjoying all the attention. I will show him again once the CPP is promoted from the Assessment classes and hopefully he will go on to add a title to his name. He is a lovely well grown boy with a superb temperament who has now fathered three litters of kittens.
4 June 2016 - Chertan finally received the necessary 'cc' for him to receive the title "Champion'. I am very proud of the way he behaved at the Cambria Show in Bristol, it was a very warm and humid day but he was perfectly relaxed under his fan. Now he has his title he will be retired from Showing.
