Feedback

I have dedicated this page to all those cat lovers who I have come into contact with, and who I hope I have helped to adopt a kitten, either one of mine or from a referral. Through those kittens I make some lovely new friends. Some of you have been kind enough to contribute a few lines and some photos of those kittens as they have grown into cats. Most of you are really good at keeping me updated with their progress, even if it is just a note at Xmas, and for this I would like to thank you. If you have not yet contributed to this page and would like to share your experience in adopting one of my kittens, or, would like to update the picture gallery, please email me. Many thanks, Julie

Star

We have had Star as he is called, posh name Tonkyway Skys Star for three years in September and what a fantastic 3years we have had, he is a loving boy and loves his cuddles as well as being so playful, adores the garden where he can chase flies bees and the frogs from the pond, which he finds great fun making them hop and wondering why they dive into the pond and disappear, many a wet paw! Julie gives them a wonderful start in life and it is obvious when you see the way they are brought up for those first few weeks that she is dedicated to their welfare which comes through in the lovely nature of the cats. Star has given us some tense moments too mostly because of his inquisitive ways like the time he decided to eat one of my pop socks which got twisted in his stomach and he ended up having major surgery for, but thanks to our vet came through ok, guess who is very careful what is left around now!! Thanks to Julie for allowing us to be the proud adoptive parents of such a beautiful cat and we haven't regretted a moment, we hope Tonkyway goes from strength to strength.

Electra - but we call her Maia (confusing, as her litter sister was called Maia!)

We collected Electra/Maia in January 2010 and she's fitted in with us perfectly. I was a bit concerned whether our big ginger and white moggy, Tigger, would accept her, as he is known for being a grumpy so and so - but I needn't have worried. They are the best of friends, snuggling together, washing each other and playing chase and wrestling games. Tigger has never once shown any aggression to her at all - unlike with some of us humans!

Electra/Maia is a complete character. She's full of energy, loves everyone and makes us laugh. She runs around like a greyhound and talks to us about everything she is doing. Tigger and Maia are both good hunters, spending summer days out in the fields and bringing all sorts of gifts home. I'm quite good now at rescuing the live voles that Electra/Maia likes to surprise us with! I wouldn't hesitate in recommending anyone to have a Tonkinese, as they seem to be perfect additions to family households - loving lots of company and attention. I would also recommend Julie and her kittens, as they are obviously well-bred, well-cared for and well-prepared for their future homes.

Brightstar - renamed "Betty Boo"

We adopted Betty from Julie earlier this year, and haven't regretted our decision for a single moment. It was a real treat for our three daughters and myself to visit Julie and her lovely brood of cats in Somerset. We were able to see for ourselves that her kittens were lavished with love and affection, in an indoor environment, in order to prepare them for their role as the perfect domestic companion! Betty has gone from strength to strength.

Now seven months old, she is a serene and affectionate cat, never pushy but always there if you need her. She is great with our other cats, being a very bossy older sister to our little Bengal kitten Zinzan, and a tolerant but firm presence with our grumpy old moggy Rocky. She likes to sleep with us and is a happy little soul, always approaching new people and situations with confidence and curiosity. We would highly recommend Julie - she is everything you would want from a breeder.
